First Impression: Crazy Queen/Crazy Day Ep 1-4
Yumi falls into the pond and when she wakes up, she's in the body of the empress who happens to have 30 husbands. She badly wants to meet the consort who looks like someone from her world. But the problem is she can only meet each husband once a month.
The premise of meeting a different husband every night for a full month is impressive. But sadly... as of the first 4 episodes and credits, it looks like only three husbands will make an appearance. Also, only 4 out of 20 episodes are subtitled and this came out in 2016. Of course, she makes excuses not to spend time with them as she has set her eyes on the consort. But we wouldn't get to see any interaction between the two of them at all from the few episodes. It's a good thing that cdramas shows the future scenes of the story on the opening or ending credits so we can imagine what will happen to them. So far I don't hate it but I'm not gushing over it either. It's probably due to the fact that they dropped the zero from the 30 husbands. But I love that dramatic and haunting opening music which seems to forbode that it will be serious and painful later on. You know in my imaginary story which we haven't seen yet.
There are elements that remind me of Ooku. The women bodyguards. At one point they mentioned they are a country of women. And they have a differently-colored long earring that signifies your current favorite husband. This kind of detail reminds me of the long pants/robes that are unique to Ooku. In terms of transmigration, this is similar to I Fell Into a Reverse Harem Game and Scarlet Heart Ryeo.
I'm not 100% sure but the synopsis mentioned that men can get pregnant? I guess we'll never know. And what are the odds of seeing the same phenomenon in omegaverse while researching for Bitemaker. What is the universe telling me?? And how come I only found out about this drama just now? The stars do align because I found out about this when all the right pieces came together to make up Stages of Reverse Harem.
